Anton by Crowcon are very proud to be part of the upcoming Women Installers Together (WIT) event, taking place on Tuesday 4th July at London Metropolitan University.
Organised by Stopcocks, the organisation founded in 1990 with the vision to bring tradeswomen together to change the UK construction and skilled trades landscape for good, the event will bring together women installers from all across the country for a day of fantastic speakers, roundtable discussions and excellent opportunities to meet and share experiences with other women installers.
The importance of the work Stopcocks do is clear, with approximately 22% of women expressing an interest in pursuing a career in skilled trades. However, despite this substantial interest, various factors prevent the translation of these numbers into increased representation within the industry.
After a two year absence, WIT was back in 2022 and this year’s event is sure to be more popular than ever, featuring fantastic speakers including Sally Kettle, inspirational speaker and adventurer who was the first woman to have rowed across the Atlantic Ocean east-west, twice.
As in previous years, WIT provides loads of opportunities to meet other tradeswomen and share experiences, talk, listen and forge friendships, as well as meet the fantastic sponsors of the show, of which Anton by Crowcon are very proud to be a part of.
With women in skilled trades still only around 1% of all tradespeople, this event is the only opportunity for many to meet others who share their unique experiences. We look forward to seeing you there!
